The word Crisis (危机) in Chinese comprises of 2 characters: Danger (险) and Opportunities (会).
The dawning of 21st century has showcased all the elements of crisis, from the financial crisis of Wall Street, to the main street, followed by the European debt crisis, the worry of China economy hard landing, to the emergence of “Arab spring” and the impact of global warming and nuclear contamination.  Will this newly ushered in year of 2012 spring any other surprises?  Are there Danger or Opportunities to be had?  It is, after all the “election year” for the USA, Russia, France, China and possibly Malaysia.
