Nasi Lemak

Today is 16 September 2014 and it is the anniversary of the formation of the country Malaysia (dating back to 16 September 1963). 16 September has been declared a public holiday back in the year 2010 and for some, this day is used to reflect on what we cherish most about our country.

During this time of reflection there are two things that comes into mind and its citizen’s love for family and food. One of the all-time favour food of Malaysian is the ‘Nasi Lemak’. The following speech was presented at a Toastmasters Evaluation Speech Contest (Area Level) and this talented speaker share in a humorous way how his family can be represented a packet of Nasi Lemak.
